display home

An interesting project for the transformation of a single-family home in a display home for a firm specialising in home automation installations. The building is in the style of the classic summer homes on the Costa in the 1970s, low-set, with brick walls and an inclined tiled roof. Two gardens, one before the entrance and another with swimming pool, make up the exterior spaces. The objective: to transform it into a modern home to demonstrate the possibilities of home automation.

The perception of a “commercial” space without losing the feel of an inhabited home marked the rhythm of the project. A new space above the living room was proposed to build the main bedroom. The stairway and another new space over the access door, as well as the new arrangement of openings on the facade, provide a new appearance to the building, in a contemporary architectural style. The exteriors were redesigned to reinforce this image.
